Midweek Mirth

One of the misconceptions about being a Christian is non-Christians think we don’t know how to have fun or have a sense of humor. Trust me, if the Big Guy can have a sense of humor when it comes to dealing with us mere mortals, so can we.

The difference for Christians is we don’t have to debase ourselves or others to generate a smile. Laughter at life or ourselves is a gift from God.

So, let’s smile a little!

The Great Writer

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed a desire to become a “great” writer. When asked to define “great,” he said, “I want to write stuff the whole world will read, stuff people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, wail, howl in pain, desperation and anger!”

He now works for Microsoft writing error messages.

And now for the bonus …

Funny Story

He: “I heard a new story today. I wonder if I’ve told it to you?”

She: “Is it funny?”

He: “Yes.”

She: “Then you haven’t.”

THOUGHT TO REMEMBER: Maturity comes when you stop making excuses and start making adjustments.

  1. Loved this!

    Here’s one:

Failure is not an option. It’s bundled with every Microsoft product.

You may ask, “Is cancer funny?”
    and the answer will surprise
    for humour is easy money
    when you don’t despise.
Yesterday I didn’t crap my pants
    but didn’t miss my boots
    and incontinence causes rant
    but laughs also imputes.
    I’m puking hard and fast today;
    it ain’t a pretty vision.
The service dogs get in the way,
    a Technicolour collision!
It’s tragic dude, but please don’t scoff
for I’m laughing my skinny ass clean off.
