One of the misconceptions about being a Christian is non-Christians think we don’t know how to have fun or have a sense of humor. Trust me, if the Big Guy can have a sense of humor when it comes to dealing with us mere mortals, so can we.
The difference for Christians is we don’t have to debase ourselves or others to generate a smile. Laughter at life or ourselves is a gift from God.
So, let’s smile a little!
The Bonus
Faced with hard times, the company offered a bonus of $1,000 to any employee who could come up with a way of saving money. The bonus went to a young woman in accounting who suggested limiting future bonuses to $10.
And now for the bonus …
Knowing Noah
A young boy liked nothing better than to sit on his grandfather’s knee and have stories read to him. One day after a story about Noah’s ark and how Noah led pairs of animals to the safety of the ark the little boy asked, “Granddad, you are very old, were you in Noah’s ark?”

were they reluctant dragons?
Were they content to remain
in background (tho’ hale and hearty),
coming in on the refrain
of words by Lennon and McCartney?

Companies do not reward folks who save them money – trust me on this, at least here in the USA – if you streamline things but don’t come up with big ideas that rake in more money, the money you save, that would’ve funded your paychecks for a year or more is not counted – you just successfully have streamlined yourself out of a job – by the 3rd time I had done it – I decided to make a career out of it – and so, till now – that’s how I market myself, “My job is to streamline things until you don’t need me here anymore” – 🙂 Lemons/lemonade moral of the story – 😀
